GREEiNSECT Technical Brief #5 on Nutrition of insects as food released
Nutritional properties of insects are one of the main arguments, why insects are interesting to be included in the human diet.
During the GREEiNSECT research project, nutritional properties of insects have been reviewed. In order to assess the nutritional benefits of insects, a school feeding project including crickets in porridge and biscuits have been conducted and GREEiNSECT took a look how insects can contribute to the policy debate on nutrition in Kenya.
